company用法说明

y表示“客人”，可指一人或多人，但它却是不可数名词，且一般不与冠词

连用。

y表示“陪伴”、“与人在一起”等，不可数，又如：keep sb company(陪

伴某人)，have one’s company(有某人的陪伴)，in company(结伴，一起)，in company

with(与...一 起)，in the company of sb(由某人陪伴)，for company (陪着)等。

y表示“伙伴”、“朋友”、“同事”等，不可数，又 如：A man is known

by the company he keeps.(观友见其人或近朱者赤，近墨者黑)，He is good company to

keep.(他是个很好相处的朋友)。

4.◆他好交际。

误：He is fond of companies.

正：He is fond of company.

析：company表示“交际”、“交往”等，不可数，又如：He is in bad company.(他

与坏人交往)，They broke company.(他们绝交了)。

5.◆史密斯(和其他人合开的)公司正在召开年会。

误：Smith＆ Company is holding their annual meeting.

误：The Smith＆ Company are holding their annual meeting.

正：Smith＆ Company are holding their annual meeting.

正：(The) Smith Company are holding their annual meeting.

析：company除表示“公司”外，还可表示公司名称中未列出姓名的合伙人，用于专

有名词时，注意以下几点：用了＆[=and]，则其前不能用冠词；若没用＆，则其前用不用

冠词均可；带有＆的公司用作主语时，其谓语通常用复数。

none用法要点归纳

一、用作代词，以下用法要注意

1．可指可数名词，也可指不可数名词。用于“none of＋名词”时，该名词前必须要

用表特指的限定词(如 the, my, these等)，如：

He likes none of these books.这些书他一本也不喜欢。

None of the food was left.没剩一点食物。

注：指可数名词时，只能指三者或三者以上，不能指两者。如：

正：Neither of my parents went there.我父母都没去那儿。

误：None of my parents went there.
