demonstrate做及物动词时：

? 证明，论证，证实：

Eg 01：The philosopher demonstrated a philosophical principle.

那位哲学家论证了一条哲学原理。

Eg 02：The attorney demonstrated that the witness was lying.

那位律师证明证人在撒谎。

? （用实例、标本、实验等）说明，解释，表明；教：

Eg 01：to demonstrate the force of gravity by dropping an object

通过落体说明地球引力

Eg 02：The instructor demonstrated the proper way to sew in a zipper.

教员说明缝入拉链的正确方法。

? 显示出（品质、特征等）：
